Michael Dake, President
Mr. Dake has over 13 years of experience providing financing, investor relations and corporate communication services to public companies. Mr. Dake began his career with PhotoChannel Networks Ltd. in September, 1999, and since then, has provided investor relations services for a number of publicly traded early stage companies. Mr. Dake also serves as a director of several TSX Venture listed companies.
Jeffrey Cocks, Chairman
Mr. Cocks has an extensive financial, operational and administrative background, having over twenty years experience with junior resource companies. Mr. Cocks has managed numerous multi-million dollar exploration programs throughout the world for resource companies. Mr. Cocks has served as a director/officer for several public companies both in the United States and Canada.
Douglas W. Strebel, Director
Mr. Strebel is an experienced executive, investment banker and tax attorney with a focus on the energy industry, where he has spent over 30 years of his career. Mr. Strebel has a JD from University of Houston and a BS in Finance from San Diego State University. He is currently focused on oil & gas acquisition, development and production activities through Texas General Oil & Gas, LP (“Texas Oil”) as an asset owner; and, La Roca Energy, LP, (“La Roca”) as an asset operator; both affiliates of Black River Capital, LLC (“Black River”), his longstanding investment entity. Mr. Strebel served as a Director with Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette and Credit Suisse First Boston from 2000 to 2002. Prior to forming La Roca and Texas Oil, Mr. Strebel served as the President of Bluescape Resources Company LLC (“Bluescape Resources”) from 2008 to 2011, where he led the company’s Marcellus operated assets initiative and its minerals acquisition program collectively acquiring over 600,000 acres in the Appalachian basin. During his time with Bluescape Resources, Mr. Strebel also led efforts to generate proceeds in excess of $800 million through various joint ventures and divestiture strategies. Mr. Strebel was the founder and Chief Executive Officer Black River, an energy focused investment bank with a depth of transactional and operating experience. From 2004 to 2007 Black River advised on over $60 billion in transactions. Mr. Strebel also spent seventeen years at Royal Dutch Shell where he acted as head of U.S. Exploration & Production M&A and General Tax Counsel. Mr. Strebel will be responsible for leading all aspects of the investment, management and operations on the Company’s Days Chapel Project.
Chris Hobbs, CFO
Mr. Christopher J. Hobbs, Chris, CA has been Co-Head of Mergers and Acquisitions at Byron Capital Markets since January 2011. Mr. Hobbs has been the Chief Financial Officer of American Lithium Minerals Inc. since November 2009. Mr. Hobbs serves as the President of EcomPark Investments Inc. at Name Inc. (Canada). He has been the Chief Financial Officer of Veris Health Sciences Inc., since 2004. He has been the President of Continua Capital Inc., since 2001. Mr. Hobbs co-founded Pine Point Capital Advisors Inc., in January 2008. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of Name Inc. (Canada) from 1999 to 2000. Mr. Hobbs served as the Chief Financial Officer Otish Energy Inc., from April 2008 to February 14, 2011. He worked at Becher McMahon Capital Markets Inc., from April 2007 to January 2008. Mr. Hobbs served as an Acting Chief Financial Officer of eStation Network Services Inc. from 2002 to 2004. He has extensive experience in the investment banking sector. He served as the Senior Manager of KPMG LLP from 1990 to 1999. He has been a Director of Otish Energy Inc., since April 2008. He serves as Director of American Lithium Minerals Inc. He served as a Director at American Lithium Minerals Inc. since November 2009. He served as a Director of Name Inc.(Canada). Mr. Hobbs is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
Eugene Gauthier, P.Eng, VP of Exploration
Mr.Gauthier brings over 25 years of mining experience to BRR. Mr.Gauthier has worked in production and mining for several Canadian mines, in particular Gwillim, Louvicourt, Western Quebec and Malartic southern. Mr. Gauthier is the Vice President of Exploration for the company.
